Naples International Airport (IATA: NAP) (Italian: Aeroporto Internazionale di Napoli) is the international airport serving Naples and the Southern Italian region of Campania. According to 2019 data, the airport is the fifth-busiest airport in Italy and the first one in Southern Italy. The airport serves as a base for easyJet, Ryanair and Volotea. Located 3.2 NM (5.9 km; 3.7 mi) north-northeast of the city in the San Pietro a Patierno quarter of Naples, the airport is officially named Aeroporto di Napoli-Capodichino Ugo Niutta, after decorated WWI pilot Ugo Niutta.

Can I take a Coronavirus test at an Italian airport before my departure?

A Digital Green Certificate is a digital (and if requested also a paper) proof that a person has either

  • been vaccinated against COVID-19; or
  • received a negative test result; or
  • recovered from COVID-19

The pass is issued by hospitals, test centres, health authorities etc. It consists of information about the individual and their vaccination/test/COVID recovery. The digital version consists of this information and a QR code stored on the individual's mobile phone.

The certificates should be rolled out for issuance and verification by summer 2021.

Can I travel to Italy if I haven't yet been vaccinated?

Italy recognises results from RT-PCR test and rapid antigen tests. Being able to provide a negative test result is one of the conditions that have to be met in order to enter Italy.
