Un elettrocardiogramma (ECG) è un esame che permette di monitorare il ritmo cardiaco; esso consente di studiare di preciso l’attività del cuore, con il supporto di elettrodi a contatto della pelle. L’elettrocardiogramma è praticato in caso di patologie cardiache, ipotizzate a seguito di un dolore toracico, per sorvegliare l’evoluzione di una patologia o per assicurare l’assenza di anomalie inerenti al ritmo cardiaco. In pratica, l’elettrocardiogramma registra l’attività elettrica del cuore. L’esame è pratico e indolore, dura qualche minuto e può essere fatto senza bisogno di prenotazione. Al paziente vengono posizionati circa 12 elettrodi con pasta conduttiva. Il costo dell’elettrocardiogramma, verificato e refertato da un medico specialista, è di 25€.
